Tassiq – Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: 31 August 2025
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Tassiq mobile application, websites, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Portfolio Software Limited, a company registered in England & Wales (Company No. 4461613) with registered office at Unit 21 Kingspark Business Centre, New Malden, KT3 3ST, United Kingdom (“Portfolio Software”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By creating an account, downloading the App, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
- By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
2. Accounts & Security
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and all activity on your account.
- We are not liable for loss or damage caused by unauthorised use of your account.
3. Subscriptions, Plans & Limits
- Plans and Features
- The Service is offered under Free, Trial, and Paid Plans.
- Free Plan – a no-cost plan with limited features and limits as shown in the App Store.
- Trial Plans – time-limited, no-cost trials. At the end of a trial, your account reverts to the Free Plan unless you subscribe. If you created projects during a trial beyond Free Plan limits, those projects may be locked or deleted unless you upgrade.
- Paid Plans – subscription plans with additional features and higher usage limits, as published in the App Store.
- Subscriptions and Billing
- Subscriptions are managed through Apple’s App Store (with RevenueCat used for subscription management).
- Paid subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID > Subscriptions settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Usage Limits and Downgrades
- Each Plan has usage limits (e.g. number of projects, associated projects, tasks) as published in the App Store.
- If your account exceeds limits after a downgrade or trial expiry:
- Access may be restricted or locked.
- You may have a grace period of up to 30 days to bring usage back within limits.
- After that, we may delete or archive content at our discretion to enforce limits. We are not responsible for loss of data from such actions.
- Non-Payment
- If payment fails, your account may enter a grace period. If not resolved, your Plan will revert to Free, and over-limit rules will apply.
- Taxes
- Applicable taxes (e.g. VAT) are handled by Apple. You are responsible for any additional taxes in your jurisdiction.
4. Features, Projects & Ownership of Content
- Tasklists
- Tasklists can only be created by the logged-in user.
- Tasklists and their tasks are owned solely by that user and cannot be shared.
- Projects
- Projects are owned by the Project Owner (the user who created them).
- The Project Owner controls all permissions and access.
- All tasks in a Project are owned by the Project Owner, even if created by other users.
- Associated Projects
- Users may request to join another user’s Project. Entry is subject to Project Owner approval.
- Project Owners may also generate time-limited access keys that others can use to request entry.
- Associated users can leave a Project at any time, and Project Owners can remove them at any time.
- Associated users have no ownership rights in any Project or its tasks, even those they create.
- Content Restrictions
- The Service does not allow uploading of files, images, or media.
- Users may input text, including URLs, which may open in external browsers or apps.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
You must not use the Service to:
- Break the law, harass, defraud, or distribute hateful, discriminatory, adult, or inappropriate content.
- Send spam, phishing, or commercial advertising.
- Upload malware, hack, interfere with, or overload the Service.
- Scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, or bypass security features.
- Impersonate others or share account credentials.
- Enter sensitive data such as health, financial, or ID details unless legally permitted and safeguarded.
We may remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, and cooperate with law enforcement where required.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
- Tasklists: Deleted immediately when removed by the user.
- Projects & Project Tasks: When deleted, retained for up to 7 days (logical delete) before permanent removal.
- Messages: Retained for at least 90 days before deletion.
- Unsubscribed/Over-Limit Projects: Retained for at least 30 days before deletion if usage is not corrected.
- General Rights: We may delete, archive, or anonymise data at our discretion, in line with law and our Privacy Policy.
7. Privacy & Data Protection
- Portfolio Software Limited is the data controller.
- Data is stored in Google Firebase (EU West 2 – London).
- We do not share your data except with Apple (billing) and RevenueCat (subscription management).
- We do not store payment details.
- GDPR/UK GDPR rights (access, rectification, deletion, portability, restriction, objection) apply where relevant.
- Security measures are in place, but no system is 100% secure.

8. Intellectual Property
- The Service, including software, design, and branding, is owned by Portfolio Software Limited and protected by copyright and other laws.
- “Tassiq” is used as a trade name and trademark of Portfolio Software Limited.
- Users are granted a limited, revocable licence to use the Service.
- No ownership rights are transferred.
- Feedback: We may use feedback or testimonials for development, marketing, and advertising. Personal details will not be published without consent.
9. Service Availability & Changes
- We strive for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
- Features and Plans may change. If core paid functionality is significantly reduced mid-term, we will give reasonable notice.
- Beta features are provided “as is” and may be changed or removed at any time.
10. Support
- Support is available via email at support@tassiq.com.
- Support is limited to issues related to the Service.
- Response times are not guaranteed and may vary by Plan and region.
11. Termination & Suspension
- You may cancel a subscription at any time via Apple ID > Subscriptions.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period.
- You may stop using the Service and delete your Account at any time.
- You can export your data and delete your Account at any time via in-app Settings.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts for breaches, risk, or legal obligations.
- Upon termination, access ceases and data may be deleted under our Data Retention policy.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Portfolio Software Limited from claims, damages, costs, and liabilities arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, that organisation provides this indemnity too.
13. Disclaimers
- The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”.
- We disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for purpose, and non-infringement.
- We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.
- We are not responsible for any loss, damage, or consequences resulting from unavailability, delays, bugs, or network issues, including failures to display or deliver tasks, projects, or messages on time.
14. Limitation of Liability
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages; loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data; or substitute services.
- Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the total amount you paid us in that period.
- Nothing excludes liability for death, personal injury by negligence, fraud, or anything the law prohibits excluding.
- Statutory consumer rights are not affected.
15. Notices & Communications
- We may send notices via in-app messages, email, or website updates.
- By using the Service, you agree to receive necessary transactional communications (account notices, service updates, subscription information).
16. Export Controls & Sanctions
- You may not use the Service if doing so breaches export control or sanctions laws.
- You confirm you are not located in or a resident of countries subject to comprehensive sanctions (including Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba, or Crimea/Donetsk/Luhansk regions of Ukraine) and are not on any restricted parties list.
17. Consumer Rights & Governing Law
- Consumers have mandatory rights under local law, which are not limited by these Terms.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except EU/UK consumers may bring claims locally where required by law.
18. Changes to Terms
- We may update these Terms.
- Material changes will be notified in-app or by email.
- Continued use of the Service after updates means acceptance of the new Terms.
- If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
19. Miscellaneous
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, Plan-specific terms, and our Privacy Policy form the whole agreement.
- Severability: Invalid provisions do not affect the rest.
- No Waiver: Failure to enforce rights is not a waiver.
- Assignment: You cannot assign rights without consent; we may assign without restriction.
- Force Majeure: We are not responsible for delays or failures beyond our control, including natural disasters, strikes, government actions, internet failures, power outages, denial-of-service attacks, cyberattacks, or outages of Apple, Google Cloud, or RevenueCat.
- Interpretation: “Including” means “including without limitation.” Headings are for convenience only.
- Survival: Sections on IP, Content Licence, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnity, and Governing Law survive termination.
